Reduced no show rate, regular appointments
No show rates can be an important issue for medical practices, leading to lower efficiency and staff frustration. There is a correlation between long lead times for appointments and higher no show rates. When patients have to book appointments in the distant future, they are more likely to forget those appointments and/or cancel at the last minute because their plans have since changed. Because shared medical appointments can reduce a physician’s appointment backlog significantly, they correspondingly can reduce no show rates for regular one-on-one appointments.
